Multi-sport project participants recognised 09/03/2017

Participants in a QPR in the Community Trust project in Ealing were recognised by their local MP Rupa Huq at Saturday's match with Cardiff City.

The multi-sport project, run in partnership with Catalyst Housing, takes place on the Friary Estate in South Acton and provides free activities for children during the school holidays.  Participants were congratulated for the positive way they took part in the programme, receiving their certificates from Rupa and QPR club ambassador Andy Sinton.

Rupa Huq, MP for Ealing Central and Acton, said:

"It is great to see the work that is taking place on the South Acton Estate. QPR in the Community Trust is running a programme with Catalyst that is not only fun for the kids but also teaches them life skills like good teamwork and discipline."

Justin Stone, multi-sport manager for the Trust, added:

"We're been working alongside Catalyst housing since June last year delivering evening sessions as well as running their summer football tournament. The half term course we ran in February  was a great success with over fifty young people taking  part throughout the week."
