An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health Officer to join our team at QPR in the Community Trust (charitable arm of Queens Park Rangers Football Club).
QPR in the Community Trust believes it has a strong role to play in the health of its local communities by engaging and also providing routes to local services.
We are seeking an experienced individual to lead on the delivery and co-ordination of QPR in the Community Trust health projects across West London, predominantly in Hammersmith & Fulham. The main focus on this job is to deliver the QPR Health Stars project which is funded by the Premier League.
Experience/skills required:
- A background in health or physical activity promotion.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Knowledge of healthy eating, nutrition and healthy lifestyles.
- Knowledge of the current health issues in North Hammersmith & Fulham linked to this project.
- A sensitive approach to the needs of young persons aged 6-11, as well as youth with a disability, ‘at risk of offending’ and ‘vulnerable’ young people.
- Experience in building and fostering positive relationships with the young people who attend the sessions.
- Have a genuine interest in creating opportunities through healthy living for disadvantaged persons’ within the community.
An enhanced CRB check will be conducted on the successful applicant.
