QPR In The Community Trust - Inspiring Change

Inclusive & Active

QPR in the Community Trust are an Inclusive & Active Club. 'Inclusive and Active 2’ is the new five year, London wide strategy with a vision of active disabled Londoners. It has been created in partnership between the Greater London Authority (GLA), NHS London and Interactive to build on the success and profile of the first 'Inclusive and Active’.

‘Inclusive and Active 2’ sets out five overarching strategic themes and identifies targeted outcomes to increase opportunities for disabled people to participate in sport and physical activity at the level of their choice.

The success of the strategy relies on a plethora of organisations across the sport, health and disability sectors in London to adopt the strategy.

'Inclusive and Active 2' Strategic Themes:

  • Changing the culture – concentrates on altering the way that society views disabled people and sport and physical activity.
  • Inclusive activity – concentrates on ensuring that there are adequate opportunities available for disabled people to be active.
  • More people, more active – concentrates on increasing the number of disabled people that view being active as a viable lifestyle choice.
  • Diversifying the sector – concentrates on disabled people volunteering and being employed within the sector.
  • Skilling the sector – concentrates on increasing the level of knowledge in regard to including disabled people. 'Inclusive and Active' Review Group
