Wildlife Adventures - A week of nature/wildlife experiences that encourage young people to engage in the environment & the natural world. The week included trips to some of London’s top wildlife attractions (wetlands centre, natural history museum, london zoo/aquarium) plus time at the study centre.
Animation - Stop-go motion capture software and Apple Macbooks were used to film a short animation film. Participants planned a short story, made fully moveable models, and animated the action. The short films were then burnt to DVD.
Music Making - This programme gave participants a chance to create their own tracks, learn basic music production techniques, DJ mixing, and practical percussion workshops.
Multi Sports - Participants were given the chance to participate in a variety of team sports (Cricket, Football, Basketball, Rounders, Rugby, Softball) delivered by expert QPR community coaches. The effects and benefits of exercise were investigated with follow up sessions in the study centre.
Street Dance - Young people practiced and performed a variety of street dance routines, choreographing their own material and using the Apple Mac computer suite to anaylse and record performances.
