Deaf Football

QPR in the Community Trust and Deaffinity are pleased to announce a new partnership to create opportunities for deaf people to play football. Based at the Paddington Recreation Ground, Westminster the club will train every Thursday evening and compete in the National Deaf League. Deaffinity is a charitable organisation which supports deaf people in the UK, Deaffinity has been running football sessions in Bethnal Green before relocating to their new home in Central London.

QPR in the Community Trust focuses on creating progressive, vibrant hubs of sporting & social activities, leading to enhanced life experiences; QPR also won the football league award for Disability community club of the year this year.

Sessions have so far been popular with young people with over 30 young deaf people regularly enjoying football and socialising with their friends. Westminster City Council & GLL must be thanked for the continued support of football for disabled people at the Paddington Rec site which currently has a successful PAN Disability Football club on Thurs Evenings 6 -7.30. We also thank Tower Hamlets for their support previous.

QPR in the Community Trust continues to develop projects for disabled people to access sport and physical activity. With clubs for young people with Down syndrome, Learning Disabilities and mental health illness the club is fast becoming a leading provider for its disabled community.
