RBKC Health Stars

QPR in the Community Trust, in partnership with Epic CiC, have successfully secured funding from PRO-ACTIVE Central London to extend the delivery of the QPR Health Stars Project in Kensington and Chelsea. The grant will enable up to 8 primary schools from some of the boroughs deprived areas to benefit from a complimentary six week healthy lifestyles curriculum; a school term’s worth of after-school multi-sports provision and six parental workshops. The project serves to address the Kensington and Chelsea CSPAN’s objective to embrace and promote the importance of physical activity within the borough. Furthermore, young people and their families are provided with the opportunity to increase their activity levels and improve their health and wellbeing through the activities offered in the wider community by local partners RBKC Leisure Services; Westway Development Trust and New Hope Academy. We are delighted to be able strengthen our working relationship with Kensington and Chelsea primary schools and hope to empower local families to make more informed positive lifestyle choices.
